Collection: Light My Fire Baby

This piece explores the complex relationship between feminism and pornography, using reworked imagery from the vintage porn magazine Mayfair. By appropriating material historically used to objectify women, I aim to transform it into a space for feminist reflection and resistance.

The image features a man’s hand, traditionally a symbol of control, poised to "light" a fire on a woman’s body. Once a representation of dominance, the hand is reimagined here as a tool for reclaiming autonomy, challenging patriarchal power dynamics. The phrase “Light My Fire Baby” evokes both seduction and feminist reclamation, shifting the narrative from passivity to empowerment.

This work recontextualizes women’s sexuality, critiquing its commodification by the male gaze while affirming women’s right to define their bodies, desires, and power. It’s about igniting a fire from within, rejecting external control, and fostering liberation.
